Fraction Pizza makes fractions easy to see. Each order asks for a fraction of a pizza, like 2/3 or 5/8, and children shade the right number of slices. Later rounds bring equivalent fractions, where the pizza is cut into more slices than the fraction, so 1/2 might need 4 out of 8 slices.
How to play
- Look at the order: a fraction like 3/4 means 3 out of 4 equal parts.
- Tap slices of the pizza to add toppings (shade them). Tap again to remove.
- Press Check. If the shaded part matches the fraction, the order is done.
- In later rounds the pizza has more slices than the bottom number, so find the equivalent fraction.

Tips for learners
- The bottom number (denominator) is how many equal parts. The top number (numerator) is how many you shade.
- If the pizza has twice as many slices as the denominator, shade twice as many slices as the numerator.
- 1/2, 2/4, 3/6 and 4/8 all mean the same amount: half the pizza.
- Count your shaded slices before pressing Check.
