Time Traveller is a timeline game covering more than 4,500 years of Indian history, from the cities of the Indus Valley Civilisation to Chandrayaan-3's Moon landing. Children put events in order from earliest to latest, and each event reveals its date as it locks into place. Early rounds use events far apart in time, and later rounds bring them closer together.
How to play
- Read all the event cards in the puzzle.
- Tap the event that happened first, then the next one, and so on.
- Each event shows its year when you place it correctly.
- "BCE" years count down towards year 1, so 2500 BCE is earlier than 321 BCE.

Tips for learners
- BCE means "Before Common Era" and CE means "Common Era". Bigger BCE numbers are further back in time.
- Use empires as anchors: Maurya (about 321 BCE), Gupta (about 320 CE), Mughal (from 1526), British rule (after 1757).
- India became independent on 15 August 1947, and the Constitution came into force on 26 January 1950.
- Memorise a few key dates and work out the rest around them.
For parents and teachers
Time Traveller is part of Gamlet Learn, free learning games for children. It is designed for ages 9–14 and plays in short rounds that get gradually harder, with gentle feedback and a fact after each answer. There is no sign-up and we don't collect children's personal data.
